Keeping in mind that Naba das murder's took place in daylight that too in a big crowd on 29th January , the crime branch of Odisha recreated the firing scene with the accused Gopal Das on the spot. He was taken to the spot in Gandhi chowk with the crime branch and the local police on Tuesday 7th February.Not only did he show how he conducted the murder with a demo gun in hand and towel on face after Naba Das's arrival but he also demonstrated how the police officers prevailed over him after the incident. It was like an act. Along with this Naba Das's car in which he arrived on 29th January was also brought to the spot , also the other car of the health department that was behind naba Das's car. Surprisingly a bullet mark was also seen on the car following Naba Das's official car, but it is unknown if that mark was from Gopal Das's gun. After all this recreation, Gopal Das was taken back to OSAP 2nd battalion.
According to research, scene recreation has no value in court, it cannot be accepted as an evidence . So why is the crime branch doing things like this? Is this to show the people that they are working on the case?
