 Jharsuguda Police Conducts Intensive Evening Bike Patrolling and Area Domination Drive Against Street Crime and Anti-Social Activities

Jharsuguda Police today conducted an intensive evening bike patrolling and area domination exercise across Jharsuguda Town and Sadar Police Station areas as part of its sustained efforts to strengthen preventive policing, enhance public safety, and maintain public order.

The drive covered several important locations, including Sarbahal, Sonarimunda, Manmohan Field, Jadeshwar Temple, Bombay Chowk, and other vulnerable and public congregation points. The operation was aimed at preventing street crime, curbing open consumption of liquor in public places, keeping a close watch on anti-social elements, and reinforcing police visibility in the district.

During the course of the operation, police teams carried out extensive checks and interactions with members of the public while monitoring activities in identified hotspots. Particular emphasis was laid on deterring anti-social behaviour, preventing public nuisance, and ensuring that public spaces remain safe and secure for law-abiding citizens.

As part of the enforcement drive, action was taken against persons found indulging in activities likely to disturb public peace and tranquility. A total of 34 persons were bound down under preventive provisions through PR Bonds, including 14 persons in Jharsuguda Town Police Station area and 20 persons in Sadar Police Station area, as a precautionary measure to prevent breach of peace and recurrence of unlawful activities.

The operation was led by the Superintendent of Police, Jharsuguda, and was participated by the SDPO, Jharsuguda, IIC Jharsuguda, IIC Sadar, along with other police officers and staff.

Such surprise patrolling, area domination exercises, and preventive enforcement drives will continue on a regular basis to deter criminal activities and ensure strict compliance with law.
