The programme was graced by the District Collector, Mr. Kunal Motiram Chavan as the Chief Guest. Eminent oncosurgeon Dr. Vikas Nayak and renowned Medical Oncologist Dr. Sri Gopal Mohanty from HCG Panda hospital Cuttack also attended the event as Guests speaker lending their expertise and guidance to the programme.
A detailed and informative discussion was held on various aspects of cancer, including awareness, prevention, early diagnosis, and available treatment modalities. The speakers emphasized that early detection can significantly improve survival rates and quality of life
Dr. S. J. Patel Director from Jagnyaseni Hospital explained the objectives of the programme and highlighted the importance of community participation in cancer awareness initiatives. Around 20 patients are examined by the invited oncologist from Panda HCG hospital Cuttack .Dr. R. K. Joshi elaborated on the surgical aspects of cancer management, providing insights into current surgical advancements.
Addressing the financial concerns related to cancer treatment, Mr. Subasish Hota spoke about the financial planning and insurance coverage available for cancer patients, helping attendees understand how treatment costs can be managed effectively.
The programme began with a welcome address by Lions Club President Mr. Pramod Mishra, who appreciated the collective efforts of doctors, organizers, and volunteers in making the camp a success.Mr B G Mishra , Dr P K Panda Mr Himansu Badpanda are the prominent members to support the programme Mr Sudhir Mohapatra conducted the programme very successfully. Around 350 delegates attended the programme
The camp witnessed active participation from the public and reinforced the message that cancer is preventable and treatable when detected early, underscoring the need for regular screening and awareness.
